Ann E. Stocking
Ann started working with Donald in 1980 when he first started his
CPA practice. She had been his neighbor in San Francisco in the
1960s, and she married his roommate and then transplanted herself to
Seattle. She worked part-time in those days, taking a hiatus to be
involved with her children as they progressed through elementary and
high school. In late 1988, Donald asked her to fill in for a
couple of weeks after a secretary walked out. He then never got
around to looking for the replacement. Thirty years later, she is
the glue that holds the firm together. She manages all aspects of
the day to day operation, and she knows most of the clients by name.
Ann is married to Michael and they have two children, a son and a
daughter, and three grandchildren: one in high school and two in
college. The grandchildren continue to delight her, leaving little
time for other interests
